TESDA REGION 6The New Lucena Polytechnic College in the municipality of New Lucena, Province of Iloilo, formerly known a New Lucena Community College (NLCC) has been in existence since 1972. It was recently converted into New Lucena Polytechnic College (NLPC) by virtue of Republic Act 8596 last March, 1998.
Formerly a quasi-public institution, the College is now fully government subsidized institution under the direct supervision of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Since 1978 up to the present, the college gained prominence in the field of quality paramedical education as shown by high percentage of board passer and great number of topnotchers in the Midwifery Licensure Examination and also working to be the center of excellence in the field of technical course.
The school is marked driven, and “MASA” oriented institution, established to provide top-quality and affordable paramedical and vocational-technical education, which are geared in producing multi-skilled, education and globally competitive middle level manpower for productive employment.
